With over two decades of experience, Dallas has been working in the Mental Health and Addictions sector since 2003, providing support to youth, adults, and communities. After earning his Master’s in Clinical Social Work from UBC Okanagan in 2012, where his research centered on the crucial link between diet and ADHD (spoiler alert: it's very important), Dallas continued his career in both inpatient and outpatient mental health clinics across Canada. His most recent role was managing the Mental Health and Addictions Program in Iqaluit, for the Government of Nunavut. In 2022, Dallas returned to the west coast of Canada to embark on a new chapter as a business owner and father.
Dallas utilizes a number of theoretical frameworks, focused through a Trauma-Informed lens, including:  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.  Dallas has received additional training and certifications in Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Therapies and Conflict Resolution therapies.Â
His areas of specialization include ADHD in adults, substance misuse, mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, as well as Indigenous mental health, parenting, trauma, grief & loss and emotional regulation. He also leads several groups and workshops at Arktos, including the Adult ADHD Bootcamp, which focuses on practical ADHD management strategies for adults.
Dallas is a Registered Social Worker in both Ontario and British Columbia and offers services across Yukon, Nunavut, and Quebec.
Rates: $150-$170/hr
