Adults age 18 and over who are noticing that anxiety is impacting their lives, with or without a diagnosis of an anxiety disorder

Individuals wanting to learn more about what is happening in their brain and body when they are anxious and develop strategies to reduce it

Adults living in BC, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Yukon, or Nunavut
What it is:

This is a 4-week virtual group focused on teaching practical strategies to manage anxiety. Each session includes psychoeducation on a skill and opportunities for participants to share. Homework will be assigned to help you apply the skills learned, and you’ll check in on your progress at the next session. Sessions are presented with slides, and you'll receive handouts before each session to guide your learning.
Location: Via Zoom. Please ensure that you have a high-speed internet connection.
Dates: Tuesdays 3:00-5:00 PST/6:00-8:00 EST, October 8-29, 2024
Cost: $300 + GST= $315 for the 4 sessions.

To reserve your spot, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required

There is a limit of 10 spaces, and registration will be given on a first come first serve basis. Please email melanie@arktoswellness.ca to register and prior to sending the $100 deposit. The remainder of the payment is due by October 2nd. The group needs a minimum of 7 people, so if this is not met, the group may be delayed to a later date.
About the Facilitator:
Melanie Abbott, MSW, is a social worker with 22 years of experience, specializing in mental health and addictions for the past decade. She has a wealth of experience developing and leading therapy groups. Melanie’s practice focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma (EMDR certified), and addiction recovery.
