Meet Dallas
Dallas Davidson MSW RSW

Dallas specializes in supporting those with: Adult ADHD, Substance-use/misuse (and other addictive behaviours), depression, anxiety, divorce, new-dads/parenting, self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma and entrepreneurial stressors.
Dallas utilizes a number of theoretical frameworks, focused through a Trauma-Informed lens, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Dallas has received additional training and certifications in Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Therapies and Conflict Resolution therapies.
Dallas also facilitates a few of the groups/workshops at Arktos, including the Adult ADHD Bootcamp and Pathways Recovery Skills group.
Meet Dua
Dua Dahrouj MSW student

Dua specializes in supporting adults with symptoms of ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts as well as identity challenges
Dua uses an Anti-Oppressive Anti-Racism Approach (AOAR) along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapies (EFT) in her work with clients.
Dua also co-facilitates our ADHD Bootcamp with Dallas.

Meet Laura
Laura Schutz MA Clinical Counselling, CCC
Laura specializes in supporting adults and adolescents with symptoms of anxiety and depression, grief/loss, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and self harming. Laura also supports parents as they navigate some of the challenges of parenting teens.
Laura has been trained in using a number of different modalities including: cognitive behavioural therapy (including trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy), dialectical behaviour therapy, emotion focused family therapy, and solution focused brief therapy

Meet Melanie
Melanie Abbott MSW RSW
Melanie specializes in: supporting military personnel and first responders, adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, post-partum depression/anxiety, and addictions. Melanie also has experience working with individuals of the LGBTQ community and is trained to conduct hormone readiness assessments for adults in the Province of BC.
Melanie uses a strengths-based approach to counselling (believing that everyone has the capacity for healing and wellness within them). Additionally, Melanie uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT). Melanie is also a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist with training in conducting virtual EMDR
Melanie runs our Changing Your Relationship with Anger workshop/group and our 4 week CBT group for anxiety: Don't worry about it!

Meet Daniel
Daniel Afram MSW RSW
Daniel specializes in supporting: childhood developmental trauma, addictions, grief and loss, and other mental health issues (i.e. depression, anxiety).
Daniel uses a trauma focused theoretical framework and has formalized training in Play Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
